Basics about Menu objects

A menu consists of a number of phrases and a number of exits. A menu object reads out a menu consisting of a number of phrases to guide the caller in making different choices using his DTMF telephone. When the caller has listened to the menu options and has supplied a valid choice, such as having pressed "1" on his telephone, the call is routed on to the exit corresponding to this choice.

Each exit must have a unique DTMF sequence regardless of whether it is active or shut down.

The Menu object window is divided into three areas, each with its own tab:

The Phrases and Exits tabs have in their turn two tabs in the bottom part of their respective window; one is for adding, modifying and removing so-called timers.
